Kinkaku-ji Temple was originally built for the Shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu serve as a retirement villa. That is a kind of asylum staff. Son to the school converted Rinzai Zen temple. The temple burned twice by the fifteenth century and once in 1950. The two floors of the temple are covered with a layer of real gold. The last restoration finished in 2003 and resulted in applying a thicker layer of gold and more durable than previous ones. The temple is located in a beautiful setting and point of capture pinnacle Mirror Lake (in Japanese Kyoko-chi), which as the name suggests, doubles the image of the temple.
