Sancti Spiritus is a charming town, with colorful facades built in the colonial era and cobbled streets. Sancti Spiritus city was founded in 1514 on the Tuinicu River bank and it is the oldest town in the central provinces of Cuba. In 1522, the town was moved to its current location, near Rio Yayabo.
