The Rockies
Rocky Mountains abound in bumps and majestic mountains that cut your breath. Rocky Mountains have to offer, in fact, the very amazing beauty of creation.
Rockies stretch over a length of 4,500 - 5000 km with a maximum width of 500-600 km in Colorado and the mountains north of Yellowstone National Park to break up into several smaller mountain ranges having widths of about 50 to 120 km. Mountains stretch from Mexico (with Transverse Volcanic Sierra, Sierra Madre del Sur Sierra Madre Occidental and Sierra Madre Oriental), the U.S. states: Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico to Canada, where Ocean coast Pacific continues to Columbia Mountains and ends in Alaska with ranges Alasca Brook and Elias. Mountain Falls, Cascade Mountains and Coast Mountains are not the Rocky Mountains. Highest mountain of the Rocky Mountains is Mount McKinley in Alaska, followed by 6194 m Mount Logan in Canada with 5959 m and 4401 m high Mount Elbert.
Rocky Mountains, which seem to be a "backbone" of North America, are actually continuing Andes of South America, which seem to be the backbone of the South American continent. The Rocky Mountains are famous Yellowstone National Park, Nationalpark many winter sports centers and rich deposits.
