Park construction began on June 30, 2001 and lasted two years. Miniaturk covers an area of 60,000 square meters is the largest miniature park in the world. Park includes 40,000 square feet free, 3,500 square meters covered with various buildings, 2,000 square feet of pools and channels and an immense park with a capacity of 500 vehicles.
Miniaturk Park currently has 105 buildings constructed on a scale of 1 / 25, 45 of them are in Istanbul Anatolian 45 and 15 are outside the territories of Ottoman Turkey. Park architecture has been designed so as to enable the park to grow taking into account the needs and potential additions.
The buildings are made of a plastic material resistant to any kind of weather, before being exposed to each building being forced to first pass through the park space tests. Some clips of the park are: Hagia Sophia, Suleymaniye Mosque, Rumeli Fortress, Galata Tower, Safranbolu houses, Sumela Monastery, I-Sakhrah Qubbat ruins of Mount Nemrut, the Temple of Artemis, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus and Ajyad castle. As the main idea in choosing the reconstruction of buildings is to include every civilization that led Anatolia and has left traces. Miniaturk contain 3000 years of history from antiquity to the Byzantine era, the Ottoman Empire until today.
Monumental structures that reflect the technology, art and culture and civilizations of which belonged to have witnessed invasions, wars, destruction of thousands of years and still survive due to the civilizations protection and restoration, are represented by their thumbnails Miniaturk. Miniaturk Park is divided into three areas: Anatolia, Istanbul and Ottoman territories outside Turkey, they are separated by small landscapes that ensure continuity of the visit. Also in May Miniaturk can find an amphitheater, a gift shop, a playground for children, a chess board and a maze.
