Named after Emperor Joseph II, whose reforms helped to improve their Hebrew on the living conditions in Prague, the district contains remnants of the old ghetto Hebrew Hebrew. During the Second World War many Hebrew died and those who survived the communists were forced to leave the country, today the Jewish community in Prague just counting 5000-6000 people. There are lots of mysterious legends of the Golem and spirit of Franz Kafka (1883-1924).
Hebrew Museum in Prague has one of the most impressive collections of Jewish art, textiles and silverware in the world. There are over 40,000 exhibits and 100,000 books.
