Hämeenkyläa Church is a beautiful landmark in Vantaa, and officialy opened its doors in 1992, well known for its long association of contemporary art, making it more spectacular. The exterior of the church is truly amazing, feautiring a simple and stylish design, coloured in a bright white color. Its name comes from the Häme region, who had traded in this area.
Heureka Science Centre comprises a great range of attractions, which are perfect for all ages. Its famous planetarium is also known as Verne Theatre, which offers to tourists the opportunity to learn more about the solar system and star constellations through the projecting sky that show on the immense ceiling of the dome of the theatre. This science centre was formed under the guidance of the Helsinki University to bring the possibility to explore and discover to everyone. It features a large variety of displays on about 200 exhibits on different scientific topics.
Hensilki Pavi is a large pavilion located close to central Vantaa, where famous artists come to sing live, during the summer time. It is also used as a popular venue for different kinds of dancing or other seasonal attractions that are always organized. This wonderful pavilion was founded in 1965 and includes a big café that has a capacity of about 100 people, with an additional terrace which offers barbeque facilities. Dancing lessons for all ages are available for guests here. The river Vantaa that winds its way in the southern part of the city, is beautified with amazing and remarkable buildings and majestic attractions.
Vantaa is the ideal home for the best selection of cultural sites and interesting galleries of art. The Finnish Aviation Museum is a cultural structure that dates back to the year 1980, but was enlarged during the time. More than 70 aircraft are displayed in the museum, featuring gliders and many light-engine planes.
