   Vantaa is a great part from Hensilki, a satellite suburb from the capital, representing right now an amazing city in its own. The tourist have free acces in the city through Hensilki Vantaa International Airport, which stands on the northwestern periphery of the country, offering great suburb flight connections. Vantaa is well connected with the capital by regular trains or buses, offering to the tourists the opportunity to be in the capital in less than an hour. Some of them are Church of St.Lauri that dates back to 1492, the Parish of Hensilki Museum, and the Finnish Aviation Museum. The centre of Vantaa is made by several villages, with the administrative centre located in Tikkurila, comprising a population of about 30 thousand people. The main attraction in the city that highlights its beauty is the Heureka Science Centre which includes a majestic planetarium, located very close to the Tikkurile train station. The centre boasts a very popular IMAX Theatre and together with the planetarium create a very incredible touristic destination. Very close to the city centre is rising up the Vantaa’s Helsinki Pavil an immense pavilion where  spectacular live events are organized.

 

The Hämeenkylä Church is a perfect architectural example for architecture’s lovers, who will get to see the contemporary style that highlights the church. If you prefer the recreational activities choose to go to the Outdoor Centre, situated to the Lake Kuusijävi, forming a stunning panorama with fantastic views over the city of Vantaa.

 

  Hämeenkyläa Church is a beautiful landmark in Vantaa, and officialy opened its doors in 1992, well known for its long association of contemporary art, making it more spectacular. The exterior of the church is truly amazing, feautiring a simple and stylish design, coloured in a bright white color. Its name comes from the Häme region, who had traded in this area.

 

  Heureka Science Centre comprises a great range of attractions, which are perfect for all ages. Its famous planetarium is also known as Verne Theatre, which offers to tourists the opportunity to learn more about the solar system and star constellations through the projecting sky that show on the immense ceiling of the dome of the theatre. This science centre was formed under the guidance of the Helsinki University to bring the possibility to explore and discover to everyone. It features a large variety of displays on about 200 exhibits on different scientific topics. 

 

  Hensilki Pavi is a large pavilion located close to central Vantaa, where famous artists come to sing live, during the summer time. It is also used as a popular venue for different kinds of dancing or other seasonal attractions that are always organized. This wonderful pavilion was founded in 1965 and includes a big café that has a capacity of about 100 people, with an additional terrace which  offers barbeque facilities. Dancing lessons for all ages are available for guests here. The river Vantaa that winds its way in the southern part of the city, is beautified with amazing and remarkable buildings and majestic attractions.

 

  Vantaa is the ideal home for the best selection of cultural sites and interesting galleries of art.  The Finnish Aviation Museum is a cultural structure that dates back to the year 1980, but was enlarged during the time. More than 70 aircraft are displayed in the museum, featuring gliders and many light-engine planes. There are included literally thousands of books and magazines, scales models that give interesting information about aviation.

 

One more attractive place is the Art Museum which features many valuable contemporary art work , from Europe and from all Finland. The exhitions include various expositions  with sculptures and paintings, where are shown the work of the past artists. The Vantaa Agricultural Museum was established in 1882, and includes two modern wooden buildings that were added here in 2006, forming the recent museum. Its interior comprises a wide range of farming equipment connected to the city’s great agricultural heritage, beautifully highlighted by magnificent old tools and tractors.
