This is unique cathedral in Red Square Russian capital, is a true spot color in the landscape. An orthodox church, St. Basil boasts more colorful domes sharp peak, which became part of the landscape near the horizon of Moscow. The cathedral was built at the behest of Ivan the Terrible in 1552 to celebrate the invasion of Kazan, a former medieval Tatar state. In 1588, Tsar Fedor Ivanovic has also built a chapel on the east side of the cathedral, above the grave of Basil the Great Orthodox saint after which he was baptized temple of worship.
