  Utah is a state that has a large number of important and attractive cities. Besides Salt Lake City, which is one of the most important in the state, there is a town that amazes you with its charming landscapes and beautiful modern buildings called Park City. This city lies just 35 miles from Salt Lake International Airport, and because of its location near the airport, this place is usually called “the most conveniently located in the world”. The city was found in 1870 and was named after Parley's Park. The City is often visited by foreign people from different countries. The Park City is located in a very picturesque place nestled into a valley with overlooking mountains and has a rich history.

  Park City features a great number of touristic attractions that deserves the tourist attention. Here you can see from historical sites and historical museums to modern buildings, from parks and natural landscapes to canyons and mountains hills. The historical part of the city includes some historical sites like Historic Downtown District. This district is located just west of the main highway passing through town. Just walking around the streets of this historic district is a trip through time. Heber Valley Railroad is another historic attraction and even if is only 16 miles in length, this is a scenic and educational trip through the history of the area. The main important museums are Park City Museum - has an original stagecoach to climb up as well as an exhibit recreating the underground lives that the early miners lead in the Silver King Mine,  Alf Engen Ski Museum - houses the Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame and showcases equipment from the 2002 Winter Olympics held at that very site, Kimball Art Center - one of the longest-running art festivals in Utah, a  gallery that showcases Utah's best artists, as well nationally-recognized figures in the art world.

  Besides the historical attractions, in this town are a lot of natural attractions. One of the main natural attractions of this town is national forests and outdoors. The main forests here are Uinta National Forest - Home to Provo and American Fork Canyons, Cache National Forest – is home for seven Wilderness Areas, Timpanogos Cave National Monument – a cave featuring hundreds of helictites, which are intricate and delicate cousins of the more commonly-known stalactites, Wasatch Mountain State Park – a state park with numerous hiking trails through the surrounding mountains and lakes.
 
  For people who love silence and like to spend time camping or just enjoy the miracles of Mother Nature there are a few lakes and waterfalls. Jordanelle Reservoir is a beautiful lake situated in Jordanelle State Park and Reservoir and is the perfect place to enjoy the Wasatch Mountains by land or lake any time of the year. The view here is unbelievable and you can do a lot of activities like boating, fishing, nature walking and camping. Deer Creek State Park and Reservoir is another picturesque place where people can enjoy themselves doing a lot of interesting activities like sailing, wind surfing, swimming, fishing, hiking and camping for landlubbers. If you like watching incredible beauty of cascades than you should definitely visit the Bridal Veil Falls and Cascade Springs. Its deep pools of rushing water are perfect for cooling off visitors in the summer heat after they have tackled the hikes and nature trails of the area.

  If you like to travel longer, than this town and its surroundings are the perfect place to attend. Here you can enjoy the Alpine Scenic Loop. This area makes the trip longer because of its 27 miles of canyons and mountains around Sundance Resort, including views of Mount Timpanogos and Cascade Springs. You can also enjoy Provo Canyon Scenic Byway – an area which will amaze you with scenic canyons and whitewater rafters, and Mirror Lake Scenic Byway – a region full of beautiful lakes and forested mountains, located in the east of Kamas.

  Beside its beauty, Park City is famous for three world-class ski and summer resorts namely Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, and The Canyons. Park City Mountain Resort is a famous ski and snowboard area of about 3,300 acres of skiable terrain. Skiers and riders can choose from long groomed runs, gentle beginner slopes, steep chutes, three world-class terrain parks and the 2002 Olympic Superpipe. The Deer Valley Resort is also famous in United Sates and has become known for its revolutionary approach to ski area service and because of its perfect facilities and the best snow for skiing. Compared with other two resorts, The Canyons Resort is the largest ski resorts in the country and offers more than 4,000 skiable acres of world-class terrain.  So if you really love to ski, the Park City resorts are the best directions.

  So Park City is a region full of recreational places which are worth to be visited. Is the place where you can do summer activities and winter activities. In summer visitors enjoy a wealth of recreational opportunities, from fishing and horseback riding in warm weather, to snowmobiling, snowshoeing and horse-drawn sleigh rides in the snow. For extreme sports fans and adrenaline junkies, there’s horseback riding, hot-air ballooning and Park City Mountain Resort’s adventure zone—complete with a human maze, zip-line, alpine slide and climbing wall. In winter the main activities are snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and horse-drawn sleigh rides.
