  During the home the citadel suffered many changes and was saved not in entirely. The wall that comprises the citadel runs for kilometers long and includes towers and bastions, serving as hunting points once. From 14 towers that were a defensive complex there are only nine left, and were named depending on the guild that were responsable for these towers. The most famous are the most strong and were kept by the most rich guilds, for example still exists the Tailors Tower, theTinmaker’s Tower, the Goldsmiths Tower and the Clock Tower that is the symbol of the city of Sighisoara. It was built in 14the century used to protect the main entrance of the citadel, decorated with a clock in 17 century, then was added a strange mechanism including wooden statues symbolizing the Roman gods. This significant tower was the home for a historic museum that was providing with work relating the Sighisoara’s past and history, including coins, weapons, a medieval pharmacy.

 

  Try to enjoy this unique experience and admire the dramatic beauty of the town. Every year there the town organizes a festival where famous artist play rock music and spend a lovely time.
