The Vorontsov Palace is an amazing architectural monument in Alupka. Its wonderful design, classical style, luxury elements attracts visitors from all around the world. First of all, the Palace was built as the residence of Prince Mikhail Vorontsov, who was an important figure in the country of the XIX century. The architect, Edward Blorethe supposed to create the palace’s plan, by creating an amazing and unique design. It is really impressive the fact that the architect used the model of the mountain’s image in the construction plan for the Vorontsov Palace. Besides the palace’s construction, it was managed a huge park, that lied till the seaside, with graceful stairs.

The Vorontsov Palace's complex includes a library, central hallls, holiday house, and an area for political meetings, assemblies. Throughout its history the palace perpetualy changed its owners. Three generations of the Vorontsov family owned the Vorontsov palace, then in 1921 the Vorontsov Palace was declared a museum. Now, the museum's collection is over 11 thousand exhibits. Most valuable are the paintings by Russian artists of the XIX century and Western European masters XVI - XIX centuries, graphic works, sets of porcelain domestic production, clocks, wonderful vases of the rich French bronze.

The Museum of The Vorontsov Palace currently provides a large dining room, library and guest housing. In the central rooms, the ground floor and table shells retained their unique decoration, creating the main exposition. The exhibition includes 8 state rooms, each of which has its own artistic and unique style. One of the most impressive the bright and festive blue room, here the walls are totally covered by sculpted leaves and flowers. Other rooms represent a festive dining room decored with a complex of carved oak, Chinese cozy room. In order to create a really stylish and sensational design, the interior is complemented by works of painting and sculpture, art furniture, porcelain, bronze, crystal and other objects, masterpieces of arts.

The Palace’s buildings gives you the imppression that it was constructed just to complete the amazing natural landscape of that amazing place. The Palace is perfectly situated between mountains and sea, as one of the natural monuments of Alupka’s area.
