  East Timor, also referred to as Timor-Leste in Portuguese, is a state in Southeast Asia. East Timor is situated in the eastern part of Timor island, which is part of the Indonesian archipelago and located between the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean. It includes the Atauro and Jaco islands, as well as the enclave of Oecusse, within West Timor (Indonesia). 

  Visitors willing to explore East Timor will enjoy the picturesque countryside of the country, as well as snorkeling and admiring the pristine reefs, as the country offers more than 25 shore dive sites within close proximity to the capital city. 

  Being a relatively new nation in the world -the first new nation of the century - tourism is still developing here.
