Sydney Harbor Bridge is a magnificent attraction for Sydney and can be seen from each side of the district The Rocks or from the centre of the city. This bridge is not a record for its length but its structure is very impressive.
The famous Sydney Harbor Bridge lies on harbour at its narrowest point between Dawes and Milsons Points. It is a steel arch bridge with a reinforced concrete deck and concrete pylons which at the time of its foundation was considered the summary of modern bridge design. It is also known as “Coathanger” and was opened on 19th of March 1932 by premier Jack Lang, it took 6 years to complete it. Made of steel the bridge contains 6 million hand driven rivets. Bridge has huge hingens to absorb the sun expansion caused by hot summer days.
Sydney Harbour Bridge has a pair of granite pylons at each end of the bridge and are there just for appearance not for support. Connecting the city with Nort Sydney, the bridge carries 8 lanes of road traffic and 2 railway tracks. The great arch is long has for about 530 metres , and 134 metres high being considered the world’s largest steel arch bridge.

All types of people can enjoy use the bridge with access to cycling area on the west side and just walking on the east side, also the vehicles can drive here.
The most spectacular way to admire the bridge is the popular BridgeClimb, which is a three and a half hour walk to the top of the arch , 134 metres above the sea level. Safety instructions and precaution include Climb Simulator and a blood alchool reading so that you can have a lot of energy and enjoy your time having fun at high level.
