     Canarreos Islands are located in the central-southern part of the Cuban archipelago. The pearl of the group, consisting of approximately 300 reefs, is Cayo Largo del Sur, one of the last untainted places on the planet. Cayo Largo del Sur, also called simply Cayo Largo, stretches along 27 km of excellent virgin beaches, and it is one of the most spectacular locations throughout the state of Cuba. Nature has proved to be prodigious with its beautiful beaches. Crystal-clear waters and fine, white sand make it a splendid holiday destination and the perfect place to discover the true meaning of serenity. Close to the shores there is a 30-km long coral reef, which is ideal for snorkeling or diving, with the sea waters among those with the lowest degree of alteration in the world.

Some of the seven beaches, such as Paradise and Pretty Sea offer outmost privacy. White Beach is protected by rugged cliffs, while Turtle Beach owes its name to the turtles that lay their eggs here. Sand on White Beach never gets hot, regardless of the heat of the sun and in its proximity there can be easily found the coral colonies at a depth of 35 m. Watching birds in the vast mangrove forests can also offer a large satisfaction. There are opportunities for fishing, cruises and navigating around the island. But the most important attraction point remains to be the coral reefs, the second largest in the world and the 32 diving sites.
