   Due to its position in the Pyrenees, Andorra is a mountainous territory, with an average height of 1996 m, the highest point being Coma Pedrosa, with 2.946 m. The mountains are separated by a series of valleys with flowing rivers that flow into the main watercourse, the River Valira, leaving the country toward Spain ( at the country's lowest point, 870 m). Andorra's climate is temperate, similar to that of its neighbors, but the country's high altitude causes more snow in winter and lower summer temperatures.
