Mariana Trench is located close to Micronesia, in the Pacific Ocean. The depth of this place is enough to swallow the Himalayan peak ... and there will remain some room as well. A steel ball with a mass of 1 kg thrown in the water will take more than one hour to get to the bottom. At nearly 11,000 feet, no life form was discovered, probably because of the tremendous pressure. This pressure is about 2 tons per square inch. The nearest island, part of the archipelago Guam, offers tourists the possibility of a submarine ride. Not till the bottom, of course, but until a few hundred meters below for sure.
