Six Flags Magic Mountain is an amusement park company Six Flags, located in Valencia near Santa Clarita, California, a suburb north of Los Angeles.
The park opened May 29, 1971, Memorial Day weekend as the Magic Mountain. The park was owned by the Newhall Land and Farming Company, a development company behind the city of Valencia. The park was purchased in 1979 by Six Flags which Accola his name before that of the park.
The park is perhaps the amusement park known as the Six Flags chain due to the fact that it was used as the backdrop for several films and television shows.
The park had become in 2006 with the opening of Tatsu, the U.S. fleet to the largest number of roller coasters at Cedar Point just before the new record being set at 17. However with the dismantling of attractions Flashback to early 2008 and late 2007 Psyclone and the opening of Maverick at Cedar Point in 2007, it again holds record 17 roller coasters.
