A large part of the former Japanese aviation fleet now lies in the depths of Truk Lagoon, in Micronesia, situated in the Pacific Ocean southeast of Hawaii Archipelago. The bottom of the lagoon, which Jacques Cousteau explored it in 1971, is covered almost entirely submerged wrecks of warships in 1944, the end of World War II. Laguna has become a major attraction for divers, although many fear the possible negative influence of spirits and non-crew never left the battle stations. Rose coral reefs around the destroyers and aircraft, but many divers never return to the surface of their venture undertaken to explore their underwater.
