Brazil is the largest and most influential country in South America and occupies nearly half of the continent. It is one of the greatest economic giants in the world and a revered state for football professionals, coffee production and specific music, such as samba and bossa nova. Two-thirds of Brazil's population live in coastal areas, meaning that life takes place on the beach for both locals and travelers. People are the essence of this country and, while Brazil hosts a variety of ethnic groups with a different economic status, there are some features that characterize all people here, such as energy and passion.
Brazilians enjoy the parties and good time regardless the situation. Rio is the hottest destination, especially during carnival. Dancers exhibit their skills, music is loud and the summer temperatures increase. Bodies of all ages, sizes, colors adorn the sun-kissed beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. Brazil's landscape is as diverse as its inhabitants. Few tourists venture beyond the beaches, but a trip inland will show a different country, which has a lot of interesting things to offer visitors. Besides the largest rain forest in Amazon, Brazil also boasts humid lands rich in wildlife from Pantanal, the canyons and caves of the Chapada Diamentina and Atlantic Forest, which stretches on the largest part of the coast of Brazil.
Population of Brazil is a mix including indigenous, descendants of African slaves and descendants of European colonists. This variety is reflected in the food, architecture, music and culture of Brazil. It is this diversity of places, people and traditions that make Brazil one of the most interesting tourist destinations.
