Serengeti, Tanzania

Called "endless plains" by the tribes Maas, Serengeti is the oldest national park in Tanzania. It has a surface of 14,763 square kilometers, being considered the largest park in Tanzania. Lies 320 km north - west of Arusha on a high plateau between the Ngorongoro place and Kenyan border, stretching west to Lake Victoria. The park consists of plains in the south and east, savanna in the central, hilly forested area north and west.

Most popular areas for safaris are Seronera Valley - where water has always focused a large population of wildlife throughout the year, the Western corridor and Lobo. From December to May, the Serengeti plains attract many lovers of safari, as in this rainy period herds of wild animals find food in abundance here. And from May to July is apparent migration of animals.
