About the Agial Art Gallery

Located between Hamra street and the American University of Beirut, the Agial Art Gallery was established in 1990. It specializes in the promotion of contemporary art from the Arab world, mainly from Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain and Sudan. It exhibits the works of the most promising talents of the Middle East. It also offers parallel services like framing, restoration, authentication and evaluation of artworks. It is situated in the heart of the cosmopolitan quarter of the capital where most of the cultural events take place.

Description

The two-storey gallery has two floors. When going to the lower ground, one can find a various wealth of paintings belonging to the artists from throughout the region. There is also an impressive collection of book about the art in the region and a testament to Abdul Saleh Barakat ‘ s expertise on the subject. One of the largest in the area, the Agial Art Gallery is the best place to familiarize oneself with the past and future. Its exhibitions are always great with impressive collections.
