In summer the visitors can do camping, picnicking, hiking and horseback riding, but in winter can they can ski on the marvelous slopes because the park is just minutes away from the winter and summer destination resort of Park City, and Heber City and Midway.

  The Wasatch Mountain State Park is the perfect place for people who like playing golf. At an altitude of 6,000 feet, golfers enjoy cooler temperatures during summer months, but amazingly, the course also offers early spring and late fall play. The Wasatch Mountain State Park course is rarely crowded, though it is best to call days ahead for the reservations you want. The greens and tees feature bent grass, the fairways and roughs bluegrass. The terrain rises and falls, necessitating uphill, downhill and sidehill shots. Utah’s park has many mountain courses that provide difficult holes with beautiful views. The Wasatch Mountain Course is secluded, quiet, and challenging. It will give you a chance to use all the clubs in your bag, both uphill and downhill.   This park has almost 36 of the most beautiful holes in Utah, which are located on both the lake courses and the mountain courses. The Lake Courses are used usually by beginners, because are often judged to be easier than it really is. The course has several short par-5 holes, which require accurate tee shots to avoid well-established stands of trees lining each fairway. Its season-long pastoral beauty, with tree lined fairways and eight lakes and ponds, offers just the right setting to make the Lake Course a favorite for high, low handicappers. The Mountain Courses are for people who have more experience. These courses were named "Best Place to Play" because have a wide variety of landscape. With its classic mountain-style layout, the Mountain Course requires shots played from downhill, uphill, and sidehill lies. Golfers enjoy occasional sightings of roaming deer, elk, wild turkeys, moose, and other wildlife.

  Surrounded by the Heber Valley's year-round recreational playground, The Wasatch Mountain State Park is perfectly complemented by area activities and facilities. This park is a perfect place for everybody, even if you don’t like golfing. If you want to be amazed by beauty of Mother Nature and the history of the surroundings, don’t hesitate, because the park also offers two historic areas, Historic Tate Barn and Huber Grove. Tate Barn stands as a sentry at the southern end of the park. It is an important architectural landmark and a symbol for the Heber Valley. Visitors may also enjoy the Huber Grove, which features the Huber Farmhouse and Creamery.
