This ideea was implimented with the construction of the scientifical and researching institution of The Oceanographic Museum. The Museum’s building is surprising and it can be seen from the sea. It is placed at a height of almost 100 m from the sea level and it provides a fabulous view to the sea.

Another impressive site to discover in the Musem’s halls is the huge skeleton of a whale. An enchanting collection witch is exhibited in the Museum is composed by thousands of rare sea elements and animals or plants species. Some of them were ensembled by the Prince Albert I personally, during his expeditions. In the Museum’s halls, can also be explored a variety of paintings, photograps, sculptures based on the sea, ocean life. The Sailor’s Carreer represents one of the most appreciated collections provided by The Oceanography Museum. It offers a wide range of sea models and species, which were explored and discovered in sea expeditions. „The Polar Ice, for future generations” represents a temporary exhition recently presented at the Museum. It is presenting the polar world and its following stare for the next generations. There can be explored the model of the „Wu Zei” huge animal, which is supposed to live in the Mediteranean sea. This is a model with explains the negative poluation’s influence on the developent of the biodiversity in the water life.
The Aquarium is placed at the down floor of the Museum’s building and is considered one of the most modernized in Europe. The aquarium’s reservors home a numerous selection of corals, rare fish species, invertebrates, a large selection of sea flora. The aquariums are mantained at high standards and conditions. The Museum is supplied with developed techniques and equipement, in order to preserve the good activity and evolution of the researches made by the professional stuff. The Oceanographic Museum is implimenting strong policies in order to preserve the natural and rich sea life in safety.
