   Although most sacred river of Hinduism is neither the longest nor the most powerful river in the world, wild delta holds the record for the largest and most vast delta on Earth. Apart from this record, Ganges Delta owns an impressive record. Sunderband called in local dialect, where the holy Ganges flows into the Indian Ocean holds the highest concentration of tigers in the world. The region is also considered one of the most fertile on Earth. Delta is between Hooghly and Meghna rivers, along the Gulf of Bengal, and Indian territories of Bangladesh, with a length of about 350 km. Has the typical form, triangular, delta and covers a total area of approximately 105,000 km square. It is composed of a maze of rivers, marshes, mangroves, lakes, agglomerations of sediment and flood plains.

   Despite the risks present in the form of monsoon floods, cyclones and attacks by tigers and crocodiles, a large number of people, between 125-143 million, live in Sunderband. Annually, more than 30 people are killed by tigers, but the population continues to worship tigii regarded as divine guardians of the delta.
